You can't deduce a meaning of life at all without recognising a higher power exists than us.
Okay, I understand that basically the 'only' hope for some sort of 'objective' meaning to your life is that there is some magical, all powerful arbiter of truth who has decided your meaning.
Either way though, this person existing and this meaning existing doesn't mean that you KNOW this meaning. My problem is that people haven't explained, in a meaningful way (at least imo) what meaning God has bestowed upon them.

Likewise it could be said, you *hope* that God doesn' exist, or that if he does he has no objection to your sinful existence and choice to reject His love.
It could be said. But if I can be so bold, your argument reminds me of a parrotting 12 year old girl.
I definitely do not *hope* that God does not exist. Hoping that God doesn't exist and that there is no afterlife, is hoping that there is no ultimate justice, it's hoping that you DIE (instead of living eternally), it's hoping that all your loved ones DIE - I do not hope this is true.
Furthermore, I could merely believe in a God that doesn't object to my sinful existence (such as many modern interpretations of the Christian God) - However, I don't. Because for me, it's not about believing in what I want.
A big part of my initial intuition about why I think people only Hope God exists, is that MOST believers don't seem to exhibit the behaviours I'd expect of someone who truly believes in what they say they do.
