yes, in general girls do better than boys in English however boys do better overall in maths and science. It does have to do something with our brain like girls is more creative or something,there have been research done on it. it also has to do with our history too i think in education, females werent allowed to go onto university in early 1900's(because of the maths/science related career) and it then it slowly changed with more females going to uni.
