Totally screwed up in the first section. This is what happens when you depend on a calculator for so long. This exam was so much easier than I thought, didn't do any study.

Was the school cert maths more difficult this year? If they're any difficult questions or ones that you're having trouble with, I'd like to have a look at them.

For the cake question I also got 182 pi. As for the triangle questions where we had to say whether the statements were correct or incorrect, I also only got one that was correct and that was the first one.

im not sure.

you work it out like this in any case: diameter 20, so radius 10. Area of a circle = pi r^2
so 100pi, then there's two circles, so 200pi. then subtract the area of the two things which are both 9pi.

so 182pi

edit: too slow lol

Yup, only one out of the four listed were right but I got the first one listed which was a reflection and then a rotation (I think) as correct.

For The Last Question. The Elipsis is wrong. Cause if n=2, you won't get the answer by:
1^3+2^3+3^3+4^3... +2^3

I'm not saying I got it right. I wrote something random.

I put:

t = (s *less than/equal to sign* n *greater than sign* 0)^2

You can obviously tell maths isn't my best subject...

the ellipses indicate you continue until you reach whatever number n is. Therefore if n is two you just go up to the two. It's just a general expression. You won't be wrong for writing it like that.

nah, cos with the ellipses you stop at the integer n, you don't add them all up and do n^3 again, so if n=3 it would be 1^3 + 2^3+3^3
i see where ur coming from but thats not how it works
and wat does s stand for in the equation you wrote?

Man I full stuffed up Non-Calculator. Hardly had enough time and I just couldn't focus. The other part wasn't as bad. I still found it harder than it should have been! Know I won't get the mark I've been aiming for...
same here :(

rofl I was close to finishing out the Q24. find x question when I realise I had 10 seconds left, so I looked at my working once more, I knew that from the equalateral triangle that it must be less than 60 so I just guessed 45. hehehe, looks like I was right.

Also idk what traslation is, I've never learnt it. I was like wtf???

Translation is just moving the triangle.

I didn't know what it was, and I worked it out o__O
I mean seriously, if it wasn't flipping or rotating, what is the ONLY other movement that can be made on the triangle...
