the hsc external exam which EVERYONE sits is worth 50 percent so internal is 50 percent. Lets make a scenario person A is coming 5/50 in physics and person B is coming 10/50 this is the final ranks of the internal mark. Now person A goes really crap in the HSC External exam while person B aces the HSC external exam. Can person B get a higher mark in physics than person A?

l know that seems stupid but some people at my school said that once you get your internal rank you cant change :S only thing can change is if you ace it you help the school...but thanks for ur input guys :d

If A and B get fairly similar marks for the externals, since A had a better internal rank (hence better mark) they would get a better ATAR mark for that subject than B.

If everyone fucks up,i believe it would show that your school sets easy exams hence your internal mark would get scaled down

My school doesnt set easy tests moreso easy marking for certain subjects

The better you school goes in your externals the better your internal mark gets scaled
