For question 9, when sodium is reabsorbed it takes water with it increasing blood pressure.

Yeah it could be sex-linked, but they don't say if it's sex-linked dominant or sex-linked recessive. So I just figured it would be just dominant.

5 is C
9 is D

Rest are good.

Probably best exam I could've ever hoped for

it was easier than I thought. Finished with like 2 hours left so I just kept adding and adding info to my answers. especially in the genetics question, I just wrote everything I knew about genetics xD

shit ur right :( well i got 14/15 then
Homozygous = TT, tt

Heterozygous = Tt

Crossing TT with tt will produce four Tt's.

whats with the exam thoughts thread? why isnt it working?
i donno but lets continue it on here.
multiple choice was fairly simple, apart from the aldosterone question i thought.
core was...strange, like they had a lot of 'source-based' questions to which you had to adapt your knowledge. i didn't like the eight mark biology skills question - just thought the marks could have gone to a worthier cause. i said stuff like the range of techniques increased reliability, microscope/endscope/staining valid methods, ricky experimental technique etc (bit better than that, i filled the space)
my option, the human story, was a bit unfair cos they asked us about homo florensiesis and its not even in the syllabus, but oh well.
considering i'm really quite ill, i think i went ok

yeh stupidly but 6 as C. didnt read the key properly... apart from that i think full marks.

for the first hand experiment on the new structure of the water conservative plant, did any1 put comparing structures of australian terrestrial plants to the new 'structure'. and collecting samples etc. i think thats right, no?
