This. My household doesn't even own a dryer, the only time I've ever used a one was when I stayed at a hotel thing on the Gold Coast.

my washer is also a dryer but we don't use it, so we peg

Mostly women with kids. They go through a lot of clothes and tend to get a bit lazy with other commitments. Also people who live in units/apartments feel as if there is no place for them to dry when a fold up line takes up less space in a small place than a dryer.
