I think Marx was mainly about government being under the control of the working class.

Government intervention is a fairly apolitical concept that many different political ideologies use in one form or another. The most dangerous ones are social authoritarians such as Hitler, Stalin and Mao, or to a lesser extent Bush and the GOP at large.

I'm not a fan of blanket attacks on government intervention. There's a lot of government intervention that is retarded, but there's a big enough subset that makes good sense that I think any such intervention should be assessed individually for it's practical worth.

The problem is the youth are so brainwashed with this idiotic socialist crap that they'll dismiss anything the right says simply because in school all their teachers were leftists and the establishment and media taught them that "socialism is cool".


These people don't understand that all this welfare and entitlements come out of somebodies pocket and that these government programs create deep fiscal debt.


The young today want everything on a silver platter instead of working for it.
They want everything to be "free" when all of this comes out of somebody who had to work 6-7 hours.


They complain about society being poorer when they don't understand that this socialism is creating bigger government which leads to bigger problems.


I don't blame young people I blame the government run education system that indoctrinates the youth, Instead of teaching how to put a condom on a banana they should be teaching young people how to save money and how to invest for their future.


I have seen first hand the left wing bias in the education system and it took alot of deprogramming for me to have changed my idea. Most youths are radical and naive.

Seriously, what's "acceptable" now is only so because it's what we've been indoctrinated with. Do you think it's normal for a 40 year old to sleep with a 16 year old? I don't. I think AOC laws should definitely be revisited from time to time. Quite frankly I think a 18+/unless within 2 years age difference system would be much more sensible. Apparently my system would be a slippery slope though, since it would mean that 16 year olds could now sleep with someone younger than they could before!

We live in a society founded on christian values. Un-christian behaviour, like fornication outside of a heterosexual marriage should be illegal. Minorities who don't want to adopt these values should be deported.

You also live in a society that is supposedly "liberal" and generally "accepting." You cannot seriously believe that society is based solely on christian values??? In every society there are minorities. If you wan to deport them and create a society of brain-dead zombies, then you are completely contradicting the christian values that you believe are the backbone of australia. I'm pretty sure the Bible is full of wonderful sentiments about equality, love and acceptance. It is people like you(no offence) who take from religion what they like to suit a one-sided argument.

Thus, saying that homosexuals and minorities should be deported is ethically wrong and totally contradicts your argument.

This thread has moved into another topic area, as with most other contreversial threads but i will add that when i get to uni, I will be in a world of my own, so i guess, neutral, but i will defend my and others rights should the need arise.
