I can't stand wine, even on the odd occasion I've had something 'nice' like Moet it still tastes like Chateau D'Goon 2007 vintage.

bought $700 worth of alcohol today (don't ask why)

doesn't look like $700 at all.

My smirnoff ice/cruisers etc are $90 or so, rather than the usual $70.

Fucking painful. Gutted.

Opted to buy straight bottles of vodka for value. $40 for the same amount of standard drinks. Just add your choice of juice/beverage.

I'm so pissed off though. Clearly there are other ways to get plastered for cheaper, why bother raising them?

Rudd is raising our escape from the stresses of the cost of living, high rent and housing prices, etc.

I'm probably just shitty at the moment, but this is badly hurting my vote for him (not enough though of course).

I still think that the pops are evil. Booze isnt supposed to be easy. You have to work at it, it's an up hill struggle until that one glorious afternoon when you discover that the thing you most crave is a crisp yeasty dry beer.

Dude, go to Dan Murphey's/First Choice. The one near mear has Smirnoff 700ml for <$30 and the litre bottles are even better value. Plus they often have "2 for $XX" deals which makes 700 mL bottles like $25 each.

Bundy Bear targeted in binge drinking campaign

The polar bear used to advertise Bundaberg Rum products has become a target of the Federal Government's anti-binge drinking campaign.

Health Minister Nicola Roxon has told Parliament a cardboard cut-out of the bear displayed in the office of a Nationals MP shows the Opposition fails to comprehend the seriousness of binge drinking.

The MP in question, Paul Neville, represents the Queensland seat of Hinkler, which takes in Bundaberg.

He says he has had the polar bear in his office window for two terms.

"It is a light-hearted symbol of my town which has taken the product in question to the sporting community, to Australia and to the world, and I am proud to represent that company," Mr Neville said.

i would have voted for kevin rudd at the last election (if i was old enough) and probably still would because theres not really a better option but geez hes pissing me off.
