yesssss
Im sure that if you met some guy who was very sweet, loving, caring, A+ personality etc. you would give him a chance regardless of whether or not he was a virgin.
And if you wouldn't give him a chance... then, I think that's a genuine mistake on your behalf.

In the 1950s or so, maybe before when sex before marriage was demonised - then perhaps your stance would be acceptable; but now... I'm not so sure.

Obviously im not going to ask guys"ARE YOU A VIRGIN? ARE U A VIRGIN?" no that stuff will come later on in the relationship and if hes not then ill decide if hes worth it or not
if they've been good to you and love you etc, and you cant love them enough to accept the fact that they aren't a virgin, then they are the ones who deserve better, not you.

i make my decisions based on myself not what decade i live in, and if some guy decides that he should have sex or do anything for that matter because everyone else is doing it or its acceptable with the time then i dont think id want to be with him in the first place

It's her personal choice of course it's 'acceptable' lol

I know what you mean but acceptable is wrong word lol

If she wouldnt give him a chance then she isn't worth his time imo.

I just think that nowadays sex is seen less as a commitment thing and more as a pleasure thing. It's no longer a signifier of a relationship, but rather, an activity. Personally, that saddens me a bit.

I suppose, feasibly, you could find a like-minded male who felt that that sort of 'sex is a pleasure thing and an activity' thing you do - but... I doubt that.

Again, remember there is a distinction - in this case, between 'not a virgin' and 'manwhore'.

imo:

it is okay to want to wait until marriage
it is NOT okay to force your views on potential partners
it is NOT okay to write off potential partners because they have slept with MINIMAL OTHER PEOPLE they have been in a stable relationship with (which is essentially forcing your views on them)

because they are delusional and brainwashed and think they will be smited if they don't wait
Yeah pretty much.
Being brought up that sex is bad and you have to wait until you get married or something bad happens.

ok excuse me you have clearly misunderstood something here, if anything you are the one trying to force your beliefs on me constantly putting me down like my choice is something to be ashamed of. When did i say i would force anyone to stay a virgin for me i only said i would prefer my future partner to be one.

then he shouldnt waste his time on me, yous are the ones coming up with situations of me with some non virgin guy
We're working on the assumption that he doesn't know about your opinions on virginity.

Yes, we shouldn't force views upon them because that's just domineering and really isn't going to lead anywhere good. If the views are radically different, say you're a conservative and the partner wants to sleep with everyone... then yes, that's a problem. But in that case, neither one's views should be forced upon each other - we should realise that that relationship probably isn't going to work out, and just end it there.

Just sharing opinions.

Just drop it, its fricken personal choice. some people believe to loose it with a made up decision and some people choose to wait. why still talk?

It's not something to be ashamed of, it's just something interesting and quirky. She obviously doesn't agree with it and ideally, we'd get to the root of why the difference exists.

Personally, I think it'll end up as "We have to agree to disagree".

And when you say 'prefer my future partner to be one', to be honest - in your previous posts, it seemed to tend to "they must be one".
