I have to figure out what I'm gonna major in. I wanna do Film Studies, but you need 36 senior credit points for a major, and Film Studies only offers 5 subjects unless I wanna go on exchange

You can do some cross uni CPs afaik

(unless that's what you meant by "exchange" not overseas)

Ok done my pre enrolment. This is gonna be the worst year of my life, I'm gonna change my subjects so much.
The Postmodernism texts look awesome, but I have a feeling it's gonna be the biggest trap

maybe the ARHT1002 or ENGL1025 prereq. was meant to have read ARHT1002 AND ENGL1025.

The other likely alternative is that first you must declare your major as film studies on the pre-enrolment form, as otherwise it is simply assuming that you're an art history major.

And yeah ruby, I hate the concept of postmodernism but the texts are so goot. Trainspotting, Pulp Fiction, Fight Club and The Office UK version yayayay

is it 12cp of junior eng as a prereq?

because I'm not doing anymore first year eng. they were lame.

say you did 4 unit english, performed amazingly. have done only 6 credit points of english but really want to do postmodernism as an elective (also mention your extensive experience in postmodernism - bring up your HSC again).

explain how you can't fit another unit of junior english into your degree and major program but would really really like to do this subject.

email the subject co-ordinator that. they'll most probably give you a waiver (they give em for anything, these days).

then take a copy of the email to the SOPHI office, fill out a form, attach email...give it to them, and it's all good...i think.

I'd thought about it, but then it'd require me overloading anyway and I'm not sure if I want to do that (yet).
