GRAVEEEE DIGGING!

Currently watching Angel Beats. Incoherent but hilarious.
I felt this was last season's let down in comparison to Key's other works such as Clannad, Kanon and Air which I absolutely loved.
I was looking more for some drama, which only began to really blossom near this series' end.
If you're looking for comedy I would say Arakawa Under the Bridge or Working!!
._.

Yeah, first season was pretty awesome. The majority of anime fans still rave about it after seeing both seasons but I personally hated the second season, felt the series lost its magic.

That shit is fucked up, Omie.

*Fucked* up.

I would also recommend Cowboy Bebop.

I wouldn't go from Elfen Lied to recommending Cowboy Bebop.
The person is basically looking for some cold blooded killing or bloody action.
Cowboy Bebop is an episodic anime that is very much character driven.
They're both fairly different.
(I personally prefer Cowboy Bebop, the manga of Elfen Lied is far better).

If I were going the gore direction, I'd be saying: Gantz, Blood+, School Days, Hellsing or Higurashi no Naku Koro ni.

Its a shame the worst episode of Gintama is the very first episode, turns a lot of people off the show.
I've dropped it merley because of its length. 201 episodes, cmon man...
I could of watched like 8+ different anime series by the time that's done or some other TV show or movies.

who here reads Bakuman? :p

I recently discovered that One Piece is actually awesome despite how it looked from the snippets I had seen.

Yeah, it's known as part of the Shounen "BIG 3", or the 3 big money cows of Shounen Jump so most people are biased about it, stuff like.

"Cliche story"
"Bad art"
"Boring story"

I'd say its the best of the three and actually an anime/manga that goes somewhere.
Bleach is horrid, filled with fillers and recently, absurd claims by some villains thrown into the manga.
Naruto is alright at the moment, but yeah, it's dragged on for so long until it's reached the current stage it's at in the manga. What's it taken? 10 years to finally unleash his inner strength? ._.

In other news;

This season's releases.

Very disappointing imo.
The only thing worth looking forward to is High School of the Dead, going to be an absolute joy to watch for any gore/action lover.
It's the typical seinen anime.

yes agreed High school of the dead is an epic anime, so there is only 3 eps out but it's got me hooked, not sure how many episodes it will have, most likely 12-24 eps it's the usual amount of episodes each animes have. also i'm watching Seitokai Yukuindomo, it's quite good as well.

*sigh* agreed, the first couple of eps were okay but when i got up to ep 5 i couldnt be bothered watching it anymore not enough zombies.

Also, Any anime recommendations? I've seen Naruto, Death Note, Bleach and Elfen Lied, favourite was Death Note out of those though
