It hasn't said anything about Communism directly. I watched a doco on the fall of the Berlin wall, as well as a doco about Russia after Communists siezed power and executed the Romanovs...However, in relation to Russia I guess they weren't hurting Russia any more than the Romanov's spending all Russia's money while the people starved...

I’m not an anti-pragmatist in the sense of political realism but the Jacobins weren’t that pragmatic in there use of terror, why do you think the Thermidor reaction happened? It’s was because the committee of public safety went further then was necessary and the plains didn’t want to be sent to the scaffolding next….and by the time the thermidor reaction happened the Jacobins had already managed to wipe out the base agitators that exited the mobs who in turn protected them. Thus the terror was ineffective because the jacobins weren’t pragmatic enough in their application of it.

(if you don’t understand what im talking about, read up on the history of the French revolution or just don’t bother. If you want to know why I wrote that, well it draws from a previous thread)
