Congratulations on being the only person I know who had read On The Road!ive read that as well, quite moving book - highly recommended
Not sure if someone's already recommend this, but i absolutely loved 'Nineteen Minutes' by Jodie Picoult. I totally recommend it.
Good God, trust me, you do not want to read this book. It is dull and the stupidity of Sal (even though this is how Kerouac presumably behaved/thought/acted) is utterly frustrating. By the time I got to the last 30 pages, I skipped to the end (I had to do it for yr 10 english) because its boring nature had become amplified to an intolerable extent. The entire English class seemed to hold this view unanimously.Title: On The Road

its extremely deep and emotional.
about a high school shooting from the point of view of the shooter and the people around him. bullying plays a huge part.

Save yourself from the dull, and go read the Iliad and Gulliver's travels (but make sure its not the bowdlerised kid's version).
Are you telling us to read Oxford Dictionary for advanced vocab nerds?Don't waste your time - read something that is a) interesting; and b) explores concepts worthwhile learning about. Unfortuantely, On the Road has neither
Because the ability to appreciate all that surrounds you, and to never settle for mediocrity is not a worthwhile concept. Shit damn!Don't waste your time - read something that is a) interesting; and b) explores concepts worthwhile learning about. Unfortuantely, On the Road has neither
