Bos'ers, how many people from your school were absent because of UMAT?

At my school, there were 35/135 Year 12's absent due to it.

Well we had 116/163 absent yesterday BUT a lot of people are absent simply because trials are next week (like me). Maybe around 60 sat the UMAT?- this is a guess though

Yep it's a small cohort haha.

I know that in my grade, at least 45-ish want Med/Dent and a further 35-ish are going to do it to keep their options open.

Thats a HUGE amount to be away at one time, even if it is the trials. Is this normal for anyone else around trial/UMAT time?

Yep. I bet tomorrow (last day of school before trials), about 30 people will show up.

Thats suprising - doesnt the school try and crack down on it? At mine, about 20ish/185 didnt show up on the days leading up to the trials and the school chucked a fit.

Nah, school doesn't really care. Everyone does it- its like expected haha

I think I'm the first person from my school to do the UMAT this decade, possibly ever. Sub 500 ranked school represent mofos.

One...me..out of 110, my trials were last term though!

That's so odd-people wouldn't dream of not coming to schools before trials (probably because we're still learning things for them though).

I didn't do the UMAt but according to a kid in my chem class who did it, he only saw one other person from our year there and like 20 something from local private school. I know a few people in my year did STAT instead for Veterinary studies.
