Hi, I just want to do well, and I certainly try hard. It still come out average. I have a problem, and my memory is short, and I forget stuff quickly. Doctor says it is a rare thing. I want to go to medicine, so I can try to figure out.

can you educate me a bit about how to get into medicine? How hard?
Well since your in yr 12 you have to apply for UMAT(university medical acceptance test which is a compulsory tesst to get into medicine) plus you should get tutoring.

Applicants are required to:
1. Register for and sit the UMAT on 26 July 2006. . Online registrations open mid-April at: http://www.acer.edu.au/tests/university/umat/registrations.html
2. Submit an Application for Selection into Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery Program with your university of choice.
UMAT PREPARATION COURSES
A number of commercial organisations conduct UMAT Preparation Workshops.

Some students may find these short courses of value in that it can be helpful and reassuring to gain some practice in answering similar questions under the same time constraints as those found in the real test, however, it should be noted that ACER & the UMAT Consortium Universities do not recommend or endorse any commercially available courses and consider such prior preparation unnecessary.

There aren't many asians at my school, the majority seem to be with you guys/gals at selective schools :p I think I need some new motivation though, I can't see me motivating myself to do much work this coming up term :(

my whole school is asian (yea, i go to a selective school).. hahaha sigh. i'm asian! and i suck at maths, yay. but you're right, it is rotten competition from all directions because everyone tries really really hard. but then i thrive on competition so it's not so bad!
There are a few asians in my year at my school, and some of them are very good at maths. Really good competition, one of them topping the school in 2 unit maths last year, while he was in year 10. Freak ...

Does anyone's school seem to have a bunch of Malaysian kids whose parents work for the Malaysian government and are here temporarily. =/ I mean, i don't mind. I don't regard them as much of a competition. The Filipinos are the smartest at my school.
