Working hours would be more interesting.

In other news, I got a pay raise. Was getting $750/week at the marketing agency I work at, currently. I'm now getting $900/week.

wait, me, or the other guy who earns $85k? I guess asking him working hours would be futile as HR would've told him that his role will pretty much be 9-5.

for me: I do 2 days/week during uni (which comes to $180/day on my new rate) and full time on holidays/stuvac/exam periods. Work is 9:30am-6pm, with a 1hr break.

I haven't finished uni: another semester to go. After that, I'll continue working at this agency before moving to P&G in Feb 09

Yeah, I was aiming that at you. I think Sipsip finished with uni a while ago?

Its pretty well understood that he would have large hours to pull that kind of salary as grad. For the right person it's achievable, but their is always sacrifice needed somewhere, guess it just depends on preferences and priorities.

At the moment im pulling 3 days, general office hours (except nearing end of FY, then add on 2), similiar pay rate. Additionally, i'll put another 12 hours/wk at the uni (chance to get study done). Its a challenge keeping all the balls up in the air. Now, about that social life. :(

EDIT: I guess just as a general point, to those looking to work towards salaries above the 100k mark, its going to comes at a price. What exactly that is, varies depending on what area your working in, but the age-old misconception that high paying jobs are easily managed is far from the truth (except government jobs, lol).

you're very right about the hours being dependant on the sector. marketing, for example, won't have crazy hours, even when you're earning $200k. Unfortunately, not many people make it to those positions.

marketing.

.

.

*tumbleweed*

i do quite a few diverse marketing-related tasks. i guess you could call them an ad agency, but they do mostly word of mouth. however, lately we have been doing some brand management, which is why it's more of a marketing agency than an ad agency

I worked at Priceline pharmacy for a year. I was on $11.58 when I started at 18 and it went up $2 when I turned 19. We got a 15% discount.
Pretty sure the yearly pay rise stops at 21
Ooo.. thx for the info..
Discount sounds pretty good, but wage deterred me..

World vision pays that much for their staff?
What about all the starving children??
It's not even commission based.. more the reason to just stand there and do nothing..
