Disclaimer: I go to knox, Im bias. Get over it.

Virilie Agitur: To be a man. Knox isnt about the academic results neccescarily, or the sporting acheivements (even though we love our rugby), but the entire package you get when you leave through the gates for the last time in year 12.

A knox boy leaves the school as a man of integrity, wisdom, compassion and faith.

As for the discipline. Im a prefect, and yes we have high standards. For all the knox guys bitching about it on here, if you dont like it, leave. The boater is an iconic symbol of the school in our local community and state, its never going to change so get use to it.

School spirit wise I have never, in all honesty, seen another school that comes anywhere close to rivaling knox. Although, barker is up there. I invite anyone here to come along to the knox gala day this saturday and see the passion and school pride in the stands as we barrack behind out 1st 15 as they clash with oakhill.

As for our freindly but passionate rival with barker. Barker chicks are attractive-we're jeallous. As for waverly winning the swimming? Doesnt trinity usually? And aren't immigration standing outside checking passports and visa's of their team afterwards?

Id like to close with this famous quote. "If you cant get a girl, get a cranbrook guy".

Whatever school you go to, knox or otherwise. Be proud of it and do it justice.

i can saftly say riverview is the worst private school around. It is the reason why private schools get labelled snobby and up themselves. I know people from riverview who are all so ego-centric.
thank you!

although i do admit that it is a large generalisation, and does not apply to all the boys. most that i have known did tend to portray a rather snobby any egocentric attitudes which just gives the school the rest of the school that impression

Agreed. But once again, I know a few who are from Riverview who aren't like that, so that generalisation shouldn't apply to all their students, however, I'm talking about quite a lot of them.

As for the better ones:

The poll is going to be open for indefinite period of time (probably forever). lsam just made a hurried decision.

EDIT: Also realised that lsam's school was Knox Grammar School. LOL

PS. after reading a few pages of this shit on this forum - pure utter shiiit!

It doesn't matter what school you go to - catholic, private, public, selective.. does NOT mean your "better" if you go to one over the other.

Can all the private people just shutup. Honestly, your no fucking better than anybody from another school. Dont claim your "rich" cause your probaly not. and for your education... its no different! you just "try" a little harder as a group because you have money placed on you to attend that school! Most you have is more opportunities.... and no one gives a shit if you have "better facilities" oh wow does that make your school better?!?!?!? since when?!?!??!!

And for public schools "we socialise better and have better life skills"................................tumbleweed...........................................theres no frikkin difference, its not like all single-sex school people have some mid life crisis once they finish school because they dont know how to talk to people of another sex....

@Isam

Knox is only the "first" because Barker wasn't added in. Barker beats them academically, at Rugby, Football, Athletics...shall I keep going?

By the way, I heard Knox were becoming Co-ed?

They're bringing in boys now...

Case closed.

I go to Sydney Boys High, and I reckon ANY of the GPS Private schools (not counting The Armidale School) would absolutely rip the rest in Sydney, no competition.

Within the GPS, i dunno for sure, but i.m.o the order of schools i'd like to go to are

1. Grammar
2. Newington
3. Scots
4. Iggies
5. Shore
6. Kings
7. Joeys

Even though Joeys is last on that list, i'd rather go there than most schools in Sydney. I've also taken into consideration travel time, seeing as I live in Sydney's East.
