Ah the joys of hearing a sane christian....
spiritual guidance is free if u attend church. u dont pay to go to church. (u can however, put money in the tithes and offerings IF U WANT) spiritual guidance is free if u have friends who can encourage u along in ur christian walk. spiritual guidance is free if u read ur bible. (which costs anything from free to $100- but seeing as its something u use more than a pair of jeans its well worth the investment, tho mine didnt cost anywhere near that)Asquithian said:Maybe they could find it deep down in their hearts to give it to the people at cost price instead of at a massive mark up. They have the money. Perhaps they should provide these books free rather than exploiting the wallet of those who are vulnerable and meek and seeking some kind of guidence.
Perhaps that money in which people contribute could be used in order to provide cheap help books to people.
There is a always a profite motive - and hillsong and other churches are living off peoples faith...not just living...living in the lap of luxury. Not breaking even but making massive profits.
Spritual guidance should be offered up at a low cost without those who offer up at the help putting out the hand in order to make money.
Helping people should be the reward right? Not making them pay for help and hence leeching off their insecurity.
Most of these nutters that I know (eg. mother dear) have much more than one bible. It becomes a sort of hobby to collect lots of preety, shiny bibles. My personal fav. is 'the aussie bible'. Who comes up with this stuff?Not-That-Bright said:You can get bibles for free from most churches i've been to... at hillsong do they make you pay $17 for some sorta 'special' bible? that's wrong.
