Here's a reply for ya

You must be a <deleted>, you have got no idea whats goin on do you. I do 4 unit english and maths, aswell as history extension. And just for good measure, i do classical greek and latin extension aswell. I do absoleutley no work because i have an IQ of 199, which means i really just turn up to exams and get over 95%. THink about that when you're up to 4am on the books.

With regard to the debate that rages on in the rest of this thread - you seem to be arguing about different things.

Half of you are attempting to claim that mathematics is 'better' than english, and the other half are trying to say that the HSC mathematics courses are better than the HSC english courses.

You're not all discussing the same issue. :) (which may be why it seems to be going nowhere)

An argument's only fun when it never gets anywhere.

That's why english is a lot more "fun" than maths...

Well i'm just saying that both are equally important, but it depends on which career path you choose. I'm also just here to dispute what people say about english being "impractical".

Dumbarse, I posted that list so that I wouldn't have to go and try to guess mark combinations for you. =P

You should be able to figure out what you would have needed last year using that and LazSeeker.

i have been trying to say that the actual english COURSE is useless, while moonlight sonata is talking about english as in writing and communicating

i am saying that the syllabus is shit, the course is shit, it is of no relevance to life, they should seriously change it.

i can't agree more...
if you haven't managed to calculate your UAI by now, you might be better off sticking with english...
