A school in the North East of NSW known as Xavier. It's near Byron Bay (if you've heard of that town). So yeah, not Sydney (lol). I'm not sure therefore about the hardness of our tests hey, I think they are easy to moderately hard. Well, maths was a okay - not too bad - like most cases; enough work/study gives pleasing exam marks, except for Chemistry :(.

Chemistry, it's just read your textbook soo many times it gets stuck in your long term memory.

Economics, read your textbook soo many times it gets stuck in your long term memory.

Physics, read your textbook soo many times it gets stuck in your long term memory.

In math, it's NOT being overconfident, because that will make you careless. Also, you need to be thinking about the structure of the question, the method and formular you'll use to solve it, and what you're solving for. e.g If they ask for a point, don't just find the x-value.

English, ... take some drugs to give yourself some interesting perspectives. But don't take too many or else you won't be able to hold your pen properly. :D

the key to good grades is:
> consistency/continuity (i.e. doing all homework, not slacking off)
> repetition (i.e. revision, applying work to questions/essays e.g. the layout of maths exercises makes the same working/formulae recur so you get used to working with it
> persistence (not giving up, sounds cliche but it is very important to stick with the concepts that you don't understand at first as they may 'click' later)
> being tuned-in (i.e. listening carefully and taking in concepts - reflecting upon them and understanding them fully
> variety (using different formats to study material e.g. changing a table into a mind map)
> realistic studying (i.e. to avoid burning out or chilling out too much you must not overload or underload your work-load) - study smart
> luck (this is purely by chance obviously)
> reflecting upon concepts and relating it to yourself (seeing the true value of what you learn usually makes learning it easier and more enjoyable e.g. the themes of an english text in society today (for example, in Othello racism, revenge, facades and the power of manipulation as a means of control)
> trying to have FUN (the hardest one of all!)

I disagree with Foram's 'reading the textbook that many times that it stores your long-term memory' thing. Definitely go for a more interesting approach to learning the facts and content (e.g. acronyms, tables, diagrams, numbered points, rhymes whatever).

*** Repetition is good nonetheless.
