BTW, I feel that I need to clarify this issue:
while I was applying for assurance for PwC, I briefly came across the "time schedule" and it says - 1st year full-time study, 2nd-3rd years full-time employment and 4th year full time study. I wonder if this is correct...I always though it was 1-2nd year full time work and 3-4 year full time study...
It's a new development since a lot of people want to enjoy a full year of full time uni and it just makes it a whole lot easier than trying to do the juggling of different courses halfway through the year whilst you switch from FT to PT uni. Also suits business needs better obviously since it means the new trainess don't join during uber busy period.

Mm yeah, that's what my in law said who works at PwC.

Another person on another thread said that they just got a call from EY too. They were also Victorians. Perhaps its only those living in Vic right now who get a call.
Actually, I agree with you. I don't think they can call you as they get application forms.

I just checked out the E&Y page and the application form for Melbourne (i.e. Victoria in this case) has finished. I think that's the reason why they are calling people up now...but only for Victorians.

What difference does it make when they call you? It's only to offer you an interview so isn't it expected that there would be invitations sent out as they read your application anyway? *shrugs* Seemed logical to me.

Congrats, my sister works there. It's apparently one of the best miter firms you can get into :)
PKF is quite a large company. Its size is just under the size of Big 4 apparently.

But to the topic: my friends got the calls too! They apprently did the Phone Interview that went for like 20-30 minutes.

Oh yes, PKF has the attitude of a miteir and the work of the Big 4, so that's really good experience.

Which ones did you apply for Namu?
Yes, my friend said tha too haha.

I applied for PwC, E&Y and KPMG. I don't know why I am not applying for Deloitte. I just don't like the fact that they are only accepting about 10 people. I would personally prefer bigger group.

Besides, my mum works at PwC and from that I know that PwC is great but my mum said that E&Y and KPMG would also be great to have a look.

I am not too sure. But my friend said that it was about 20-30 minutes and from that I would probably guess that this is like normal interview...

good thing about pkf is that its listed as a 'mid tier' because it isn't big 4 and has 'more than 15 partners'.

understatement really.. it has 160 partners.
it could be in a 'big 5' =]
