Okay, and what makes them feel gender confused?
The psychology and pathology behind gender confusion is irrelevant to the topic at hand, but given the phenomena of such individuals is widely accepted by scientific communities as a valid condition, who really cares what makes them feel gender confused.

Marriage is not a religious thing, but for some fucking reason the church still has a monopoly over it, their "higher moral authorities" can say who can and who can't be recognized by the state as a loving couple.
Fuck civil unions and all who advocate them, that's basically saying "Hey fags, well, we still don't see you as humans and therefore you obviously do not deserve the same rights as us, so we'll give you this piss poor excuse for a marriage".

What?

It's more like "Hey homosexuals, you arent a male and a female and therefore you obviously cannot create children together which is the major justification for joining man and woman in a legal union for the good of themselves and the child - so have this smaller civil union because marriage is too big for you"

Once again, it comes down to the views of egotistical religious fiction book bashers.

The concept of love fantastical enough without cheapening it with horseshit rationale and tales of the supernatural.

Plus: if all love comes from God, where does God come from? etc. etc.
I think Christians would have to concede that God is non-limited; a non-random universal variable which transcends all time/space and is the first cause of all things.

This arises several problems for the theist:

1) God, being the Supreme Being, can not hold faith in another divine being above him. Despite the command that we must have faith to get into heaven, and the presumption that we are created in his image (therefore should attempt to act like him in all ways), God himself must be faithless. If not, the whole concept of God itself is eroded- we are left with an infinite regression of Gods, all with higher authority over each other.

2) The only conclusion then, is that God must be an atheist. We could presumptuously say that he believes in himself- but this is an illogical conclusion, as all self-aware beings must of necessity believe in themselves. Therefore, God is an atheist and by the theists own definition should not belong in heaven.

To summarise:

1. A “god” is defined as a transcendent Creator being.

2. If it is rational, God himself disbelieves in the existence of a god (i.e. a transcendent Creator being). (from 1)

3. Either :
a. God is irrational.
b. God is an atheist. (from 2)

4. If one knows that God exists, then one should strive to be like God.

5. If one knows that God exists, then it would be irrational for one not to believe in it.

6. If one knows that God exists, then one should strive to be an atheist (from 3b, 4 & 5)

God must be an atheist, at least by default, if not intention. It seems a ludicrous thought at first- but following this line of logic, any theist striving to be like God, should in fact strive for atheism.

Given that we are all born atheists, perhaps the greatest struggle throughout life, the deepest "crisis of faith" is that in following our reasoning- staying on our path of atheism, which is fulfilling/maintaining nature's purpose. Nature has equipped us with non-belief, don't lose it!

I enjoy the fact that that article is listed in the 'humour' section of the site.
It is highly humorous. Theists worship an atheist. Unless your suggesting different?

It is also listed under atheology, just FYI.

nice jump to conclusion. my only point is that the style of the writing is attempting to be informative moreso than humourous imo.

Well it is written as informative, hence its location in "atheology". But because it's conclusion is humorous/ironic etc for the Christian, they included it in a humour section also, along with a few other arguments (which are short). I guess it serves as a starting point for ppl visiting the site.

God can not be an athiest, an athiest is a person that denies the existance of God. I think it is safe to assume that God is well aware of his own existence, and his position in this world, this believing in himself been God, thus not been an atheist

I don't know if homosexual couples are getting sex changes specifically to get married, but you can get married if you were once a man and am now a woman, to another man. Because you can legally change your sex, etc.

It's a weird loop hole.
