Overall was a good day, new people + bad weather = balanced out :uhhuh:

but yeah people tend to do that as first years, you either incorporate yourself into a group of friends or start your own one.

lol hahaha first day was pretty cool for me - ended up meeting heaps of ppl cause i met a ruse person and that ruse person knew another ruse person and then we met some baulko ppl - pretty cool day LOL i was the only non-selective

Have Susan Armstrong for foundations - she's alright albeit the first lesson being a complete bludge.
Uhhh.... have Dobrescu for QABE (formerly QMA) - couldn't get her microphone right but she was pretty thorough and tried to be as loud as possible. Keith Burrows theatre has BO.

Quite depressing, really.
Can't say the rain helped.
Only went to one lecture.
Sold some textbooks already.
Bought some new ones.
Couldn't get concession.
Arc stores no longer sell my favourite subject folders
Wasn't interested in eating uni food
So many first years
I can't tell who is a first year anymore
Didn't make any new friends
Saw lots of people I knew
Couldn't be bothered talking to most of them
Saw old friends
Asked about a 21st on saturday night I didn't attend
Asked about notes I needed for a course
Logging into the Quad lab computer took longer than expected
Thought my lecture was interesting
Walked up and down campus
So many god damn first years?
Decided to go home
Crossed Anzac Pde
Missed first bus
Caught second one.
Watched my girlfriend play games on her iTouch
Joined in.
Arrived at central.
Left at central.
Bought Maccas after train ride.
Walked home
Did nothing
Paid some bills
Will do some cleaning
Need to figure out what to eat for dinner.
Keep getting calls and messages about textbooks
And here I am.
Writing this inane post about my first day.
Enjoy reading it.

First day was good, lol at the ENGG1811 lecturer when the students from the previous lecture wouldn't leave.

Yeah, the ENGG1811 lecture didn't give me the best impression of the subject.
Did anyone else get annoyed when he spent like 10 mins explaining how engineers solved problems pre-computer, going into explicit detail and then told us you DON"T need to know that shit?

As for sleeping in lectures, I blame the comfy backs (and boring lecture slides)

Engg1811 - Yeah the whole slide rule/circular slide rule thing was annoying lol.

Engg1000 - Was okay. Lol at how the uni is going to patent some motor a group of students built last year.

Math1131 - Was okay. Blennerhasset seemed very sarcastic.

Maple math lecture - Not much point. He spent the first 10 minutes on Maple. The rest of the time on Linux/the math website.
