I accept that in today's society I can no longer dream about finding a virgin girl and marrying her - because 99.99999999% of chances say that the girl I end up with will not be a virgin anymore.

There is a difference between 'not a virgin' and 'slut', though. Like, if a girl expects to slut herself around and sleep with 20 guys and then suddenly expect a well-respecting, rich guy to love and care for her and take her seriously, then no that's not happening pretty much ever.
I dont expect to be treated like a princess for this its just a personal choice that i would like my partner to share aswell. Also dont assume that no one above 18 is not a virgin. its assumptions like that that cause people to give themseves away because the reckon 'well my partners not gonna be a virgin so why should i'

for once shadowdude is making sense

just because someone has been in a relationship for a few years and had sex with their partner doesnt make them a slut or manslut (it would be ridiculous to think this). its extremely stupid to completely write someone off because they arent a virgin, especially if their personality is otherwise amazing.

ok listen,
no one has the right to judge other people about their decisions, if our friend here is against it because simply they have been brought up in an environment where they were told that it was right for them to wait until marriage. OBVIOUSLY it shows that u people who are against this person have been brought up getting told that it was NOTHING to you. MY virginity to me however means alot to me, its sacred, once its gone i can never get it back no matter how much i try. it shows my independence as a female proving that im not weak minded like most females and gave away something i couldnt get back simply because of my curiosity. so please. keep your comments to yourselves and if u dont have anything nice to say.... GET OFF :)
lol i was brought up to believe in no sex until marriage by my wog parents, yet i dont particularly believe in it so your point is invalid
and nobody is being nasty so just chill out br0

also we arent even saying "simply because of curiosity oh ill go sleep with someone" we are talking about mature people who are in dedicated long-term relationships wanting to consumate, the way you say it you're making it sound like everyone who loses their virginity before marriage is automatically a slut/manslut with no self respect etc.

i never said i would call someone a slut for having sex once and i never said i would write someone off for not being a virgin i just said most likely i did say it depends on a lot of other aspects of the person

Some of us are being civil. Join the conversation, you seem to have similar mindsets to thrillkiller here.

I don't assume everyone above 18 has gotten laid, because to be less serious - walk into any engineering lecture and... well, yeah.

I'm just saying that if you are going to limit your choice of husband to those who are virgins, you are probably cutting out a very significant portion of men who will love you very much and who you will be attracted to, and you will not consider them at all, for arguably - little reason.

I know virginity means a lot to you but if you met the right guy who... say, made an error in judgement one night many years ago... then it may be a bit harsh to reject him outright.

Or, of course, I also see that perhaps you are optimistic that you'll find someone similar, or better - who hasn't "made that mistake". Correct?

I've only ever had sex with one person and intend on having it stay that way.

yesssss
Im sure that if you met some guy who was very sweet, loving, caring, A+ personality etc. you would give him a chance regardless of whether or not he was a virgin.

I get what your saying and this is why i told that other person (sorry i forget their username) that it would depend on other things. Obviously im not going to ask guys"ARE YOU A VIRGIN? ARE U A VIRGIN?" no that stuff will come later on in the relationship and if hes not then ill decide if hes worth it or not
