Does anyone else's school do compressed curriculum? just curious so I can cry with my online compressed curriculum friends.
Basically, compressed curriculum is a learning model where rather than doing 6 subjects at once, you do 3 in year 11, and then three in year 12. The year 11 and 12 content for that course is covered in one year and you do the hsc for that subject in that year. For example, I had english adv and bio this year, but not german continuers, since i do it from outside of school. Now ive come into year 12 with less stress and pressure to do all subjects at once. I actually thought that this model was quite helpful since it allowed me to focus only on those 2 subjects, rather than focusing on all of them. However, since my school does not do german continuers as a language, it will go as per the normal school structure. So now in school, I'm doing Maths advanced, chemistry and Business, alongside german cont. Just curious, since I haven't heard of another school apart from mine that does this. P.S. my periods go for two hours, and we have 3 periods a day for seniors. Luckily my school ends at 2:50 on one day, and 12:30 on one day
is this a special ed thing?
