Hello sir! Do you have any tips for pushing one's essay up the final few marks, and any tips specific for Module A Advanced English? (I always find myself getting 18 or 19 out of 20, apart from Macbeth in year 10, haha.) I'm finding the language for Mod A quite challenging at the moment, tbh. Thank you!

is my school just radically different, or does anyone else have their school camps coming up soon? my "study" camp is in 3 days and it's quite literally before my half yearlies. so fucking cooked

my school camps are now too, but wdym by study camps? at mine the camp is meant to be a break from studying/stress (not like ppl arent gonna secretly study in free time anyways though)

I’m just curious, what are y’all’s day to day study schedules?

weekdays minimum 2 hours, all subjects, homework included
done usually around 4-5 and 7-10pm

weekends, i try for 3 hours minimum
tbh its probably not enough and i rarely hit weekend goals

i've tried tracking study time on notion but i feel its not meant to be a complete measure of how much i got done. also dont ask what happened friday

Exams are the week after, quite a few ppl are gonna be stressing over them.

Apparently in previous years even a few english teachers have been in on some ppl doing practice essays in free time
For some reason, others had the audacity to snitch on them, guess they didn't want unfair disadvantage?

basically there's gonna be ppl who give us seminars on how to study our specific subjects and then were given time to study on our own... but it's only like 3-4 hrs study a day. the facilities are also pretty ordinary lol (i've been to the campsite before for yr 7 camp make what u will of that )

i blast music to drown that out. Without it im always geeked on study periods. but yes, study periods do get loud, so it isn't for everyone

I’m just curious, what are y’all’s day to day study schedules?

I have one hour before school on weekdays and two after school, plus my study periods (there are a lot ). On weekends, Saturday is my primary study day, and my Sunday used to be more filled but I was getting fatigued too easy. I have early mornings for English Ext. I and a late Monday for History Extension, so I can't have my ideal schedule but it's whatever.
Almost every weekday hour is allocated to a subject, and I split them between understanding, revision, and practice.
However, I'm prone to fluctuate according to my anxiety, because if I can't get in the headspace there's no point sitting there for two hours doing nothing when I can clear my mind with something else, and then wake up the next morning fresh. Although, setting up my weekly planner helps because then I can just do instead of thinking about what I have to do.
