ikr. That's what my sor teacher says cause islam school usually have stronger responses cause they come from an islam background and my school's catholic so most people don't have much background knowledge on islam and they think that our responses will be weaker than there's

“easier to wrap your head around” is such a lie, the whole reason we do Islam is bc it’s an Abrahamic religion so most people have more of a foundation to build upon (esp if we did Christianity/Judaism first), just the innate relationship
ik people in my school who would struggle so much more with the concept of polytheism

the fact Islam does so well is the whole reason my school does it, bc you know that there’s potential to get really good marks if you know ur traditions well (multiple teachers in our school have taught state rankers)
they actively tell us to avoid doing Judaism for the essay simply bc in the past people haven’t been able to write as well about it and therefore it has a lower average apparently

it’s just the essay don’t stress - I’m sure the short answers are very good!! it would just be recommended to do a different tradition for the essay because they tend to do better

ngl that’s kind of insane, I know most of the SOR teachers (most being the keyword) love talking about other religious traditions with students who believe in other religions to their own, my teacher is certainly like that it’s really sweet imo

it was never really for sure, but me and my parents went over what i wanted to do and i ended up deciding just to finish yr 11 & 12
