Hi does anyone know how the selection process works for HAST? I’ve heard ppl saying that they first choose the top 20 students based on their HAST results, then pick like 2 that have the best supporting documents.

I got signed up for icas writing, reading and maths. I never done icas before so I don't know what to do. my first test is writing in like 8 days but I have camp for 2-3 days so how should I prepare?

i'm pretty sure there is only one writing prompt for edutest, either narrative or persuasive but i'm not 100% sure just based on what i have seen in this discussion

there r many promts like pics n some dialogue n r to use those its like selective

they first look at ur exam results, then call u for interview n look at ur portfolio pretty sure

Also are there usually more spots in Penrith or Girraween for year 8 and 9 entry?

In my application, I also included my 2024 Short List letter from Fort Street High School, A letter of recommendation from my 2024 English teacher and one of my speeches from a public speaking competition.
My 2025 school report only has 1 B in music and the rest are A's, I also currently study agriculture and I have an A in it as well, so I think that's pretty good for Ruse. However, my 2024 reports aren't as good.
My 2024 NAPLAN is all in the exceeding bracket with grammar & punctuation and numeracy being in the triangle.
My 2022 NAPLAN is alright but my writing is below the national average in it.

I obviously know that the edu test is still a huge portion of whether they accept you or not but if anyone could lmk just how hard i need to try to stand out that would be great thank u!! #plsdontdoxme
