because my school is doodoo and they set us up for failure yet wonder why we arent ranking well

My teacher never specified if we needed to have a bunch of research... But a teacher from a good school posted these as examples of good discursives, so now I'm not sure what the requirement would be for discursives. I definitely do not have time to research a bunch of different topics to keep...

but what my tutoring place i used to go to said about discursives:
- tone can be more informal or formal - read some prescribed discursive texts if u need to get the hang of the tone
- start with anecdote, have some sort of motif or symbol or metaphor in there
- use that to launch ur discussion - (take some facts or historical things or philosophical ramblings or modern issues or whatever to talk about)
- come back to anecdote or motif or metaphor through a different lens as a result of those musings (possibly through continuing the anecdote)
I also rlly liked someone but ig they didnt but that's ok uk what like it is just not my year I'm sure
