Wait so if I get rejected and I want to appeal, I physically can’t respond within a week and then my appeal won’t even get read so I’m rejected either way with no chance to ever fix it !?

I’ve heard that you can reply to the rejection email if they have sent you one asking for reconsideration or you can simply email them with the subject line stating Appeal for reconsideration.

for year 9 2026 admission to girraween high school

for my friends that have tried out, no. Because a lot of schools get lots of appeal requests and the schools tend to push the reappeal matters to the last days of term 3 or whatever so they like do a brief look at everything and decide. In very rare cases, maybe if someone from the reserve list rejects, only once I’ve heard, that they send an email to the top candidate amongst those who were rejected. But stilll reappearing doesn’t do any harm, you should do it.

GNG, so ik im prolly so late to this discussion, seems like new updates be popping up every second, but last week i got reserve letter from tech (sydney tech was my first pref, hurlstone 2nd, and mac fields 3rd, im in yr 8 for yr 9 entry btw) and i thought this was an okay result, until recently one kid in my class GOT IN HURLSTONE, but he had the exact same hast bands as me (top 10% reading, top of middle 50% in maths, BOTTOM 15% abstract (competition in abstract was crazy) and top 10% writing, overall bottom of top 15% in total HAST) and apparently offers have been made for tech as well?! NOOOOOOOOO, apparemtly one of the hurlstone officers told my dad that the reason the kid with the same band got in, is cuz he ranked it 1st, while i ranked tech 1st, selective school entry logic is so cooked man, im legit so desparate rn, basically as much as @Smartboiiii lol! atp, all i can hope for is kids leave in term 4....
