Just going to put this out now for any 2026's or others reading this.

STOP WORRYING ABOUT YOUR RANKS SO MUCH.

Yes, they are important.

But, 50% of your HSC result is still YOUR mark.

Any ATAR is possible if you put in the work. Since you have just started HSC, work on getting the best ranks you can at the moment.

Your ATAR isn't even 20% done yet, so even if your ranks are average now, just keep working hard, and they will improve.

If you want an actual answer to your question though, short answer Yes, long answer it depends on your subjects and how well YOU, and YOUR SCHOOL perform.

True, I ranked 19/32 in english adv at the start of the year and ranked 9th for my trial and 11/32 overall. It's possible to improve.

If I'm able to sleep until 9 then I'll wait for ATAR, but I mostly likely won't be able to catch much sleep overnight from the nerves lol

This is really stupid but what if I don’t look at any of my marks over year 12 and only the feedback obv and then I’ll just go into the hsc results with no expectations and it’ll all be revealed then lol
