idk if this is fake or not but that is how i deadass imagine you
(from someone else) revise content from y10 to have a good base, look briefly into term 1 syllabus, also read english textsHi Year 12 2025, I hope you all are having a nice break and wish you all the best for your results. I just have some questions I want to ask.
If you could start studying for any of your year 11 subjects in the holidays before year 11, how would you do so and how would you prepare?
I am really confused on how to start studying for these subjects. Should I look at the syllabus before I study and how do I begin on studying them?
I wouldn't. I made notes which I ended up not using cause they sucked. Maybe brush up on math stuff ur weak at and read ur eng texts. Cause enjoy the one of the few proper breaks you'll get. I wish I just didn't think of school the whole of last holidaysHi Year 12 2025, I hope you all are having a nice break and wish you all the best for your results. i would try to go out with my friends / family as much as possible or even just call them up more often. honestly, for me at least, once u go into y11 and 12, u end up going out much less and that can take a toll on ur wellbeing. just get as much support as u can bc ull def need the memories and strength going into the yearAlso 25ers, what's one piece of advice you'd give urself last year during summer hols and preparing for the most exhausting year ahead
that's not even bad tbh. Like 16/20 was my max in year 11. But I was talking about brushing up on math. But for eng ur school should give u texts that your gonna study for year 11 so just read them. But to improve ur English marks, write a ton of practice essays and hand them in to ur teacher cause that's what improved my marks from barely passing to the B rangeHowever, I am confused when you mean brush up on my English and read texts. I am not a good english student I usually average around 16/20. What texts or resources would you recommend for me so I can improve my english score>
just figure out if you're losing marks because of structure, your ideas themselves, or how you adapt to the question. However, I am confused when you mean brush up on my English and read texts. look at the syllabus, trust me this is the best thing. I remember before year 11 i looked at the syllabus and thought it was a whole bunch of nothing but trust me look at it, familiarise yourself with it and try to get to know a few dot points before hand.Hi Year 12 2025, I hope you all are having a nice break and wish you all the best for your results. tbh i did a whole lot of nothing lol, but that was because i was seriously burnt out from term 1 like it was bad. anyway one piece of advice was just do a little bit everyday instead of expecting so much in one day and just rest like tbh its your only opportunity to chill out a little bit but it depends on your subjects, maybe they require you to do more than mine did it just depends. Also, do english paper 1 in summer holidays if anything! seriously this will save u so much time, i remember wasting so much time practicing paper 1 for my trials when i couldve been doing paper 2...Also 25ers, what's one piece of advice you'd give urself last year during summer hols and preparing for the most exhausting year ahead
The best thing that improved my english capabilities was literally asking ur teacher every single thing that comes to your head. when i transfered into advanced in year 12 i was so scared to fail that I harassed my teacher and he looked at everything i wrote and my improvement came from his feedback. Also, keep writing, practice writing under timed conditions (i know its the worst but the hsc will happen either way) and know your text!!! ALSO ALSO ALSO, something that always put me top band was using a tripartite structure for my essays, what this means is that you make a 3 stage arc instead of doing paras on random things. For instance my mod b was on like illusion of permanence and i would have three stages: 1) duality between flesh and spirit, 2) dislocation, 3) acceptance. It was more detailed than this but you get the picture. However, I am confused when you mean brush up on my English and read texts. I am not a good english student I usually average around 16/20.
