Predictions for all subjects (band 6 cutoffs):
81 for physics
87 for maths standard
82 for Biology
91 for English standard
83 for legal studies.
I reckon physics will be like 78 or something it was harder than last years and previous years but it’s not gonna have the crazy alginement as 2019
Chem seems like an 85

Hi Year 12 2025, I hope you all are having a nice break and wish you all the best for your results. I just have some questions I want to ask.
If you could start studying for any of your year 11 subjects in the holidays before year 11, how would you do so and how would you prepare?
I am really confused on how to start studying for these subjects. How should I examine the syllabus before I study and how do I begin on studying them?
If you do any history subjects, I would probably start looking at the general outline of the history in each section (better yet only the mods you are doing if you are already aware), that way you will have an idea of the most important components when actually going into the lessons. Similar to other comments, read your English texts if you already know which ones you are studying. Research how to analyse poetry. And definitely revise yr 10 content for any stem subjects.

However, I am confused when you mean brush up on my English and read texts. I am not a good english student I usually average around 16/20. What texts or resources would you recommend for me so I can improve my english score>
Maybe read some classics over the holiday? Taking notes on the techniques and any analysis you make of it? That should improve your unseen text analysis since it would become part of a habit when reading texts.

Guys what extra curriculars should I do to get into maq early entry
I thought the grades matter more, I think they do and it depends on how competitive the course is but I can't be too sure. We literally all had such similar extracurriculars. In my school, lots of ppl who got ALL Bs and As didnt get accepted for law - but mind you, the Bs were like in English, some in legal etc so idk in my school an A is only 90+. However some people that failed chemistry and maths got into engineering... and they all had very similar extracurriculars... All of our extracurriculars included things such as school leadership team, faith related leadership positions, volunteering outside of school, sports stuff etc.
