l
yea i literally have the same exact question.
dev made the same thread a bit ago just search it up its like the 2nd or 3rd result but girra still has a higher median atar (because penrith usually gets band 6s in lower scaling subjects like humanities etc) so even tho penrith> girra rank wise girra atar is still higher, and also the success rate is higher penrith limits the subjects (harder subjects math 3u/4u) to students that will most likely get band 6s (hence the entrance exams)

i used to think penrith then i saw this thread and i started second guessing myself and thought girra but penrith is cooking in rankings so idk anymore
ok but how can you say penrith's cooking in rankings when they surged to top 20 for only one year. I get how they doing really well now but girra has consistently ranked better than penrith and penrith only did well last year, other years they were in rank 30s. penrith might have just a good cohort in 2025.

and then penrith is like a 10min bus ride while girra is like 30min bus ride and i also have a lot of friends at penrith
oh cool thats is also a deciding factor. like i live closer to penrith but picked girra because the travel times or sort of equal because i take train to girra but for penrith would have to take a long bus. kinds cancels out. also having friends is a key factor as well.

guys it just me but is it really upsetting when you see your friend in the uniform of the school u wanted to go to like the other day i saw my friend wearing the penrith uniform and I felt really sad
YEAH BROO, i felt that as well last year. but when i actually went to girra it js just felt normal in the way nothing really significant changed, js feels like normal school. so dw about being sad seing penr kids because they do the same schooling as you.

what i meant was if you see their results from last few years they have been consistent and in early 30s spot from top 40 so they are improving a lot. But I do know its because of their subject caps

so what ur saying is if u go baulko it won't feel any different so you would want ruse then that won't feel different so you would want harvard and so on.
