apparently someone asked last year and the admin or someone working at the school said that they don't accept a full class.

Hey everyone,

Hope you had a good and restful break during the holidays!

Since the Year 8 to 11 Selective Entry exams are coming up in just one term, we wanted to reach out to help with preparation. We know how stressful the preparation can be, so right now is a really great time to start getting some steady practice in so you feel confident and ready on exam day.

To help you feel prepared for Term 1, we are sharing some free resources to kickstart your study for the EduTest, HAST, and Normanhurst Boys or Sydney Boys style exams:
  • 6+ Free Sample Mock Exams & Selective School Entry Info Package (PDF)
  • Free Trial Classes for HAST, EduTest and Normanhurst Boys/Sydney Boys exam preparation. This will also include lesson materials, and HW materials with exam style practice questions.

  • Based on student interest, we may have available free full mock exam sessions with marking and feedback. If you would be interested in participating, feel free to message me. This will be based on the students' interest and we may run it if there is sufficient demand.

We have a strong history of helping students secure offers to schools like James Ruse, North Sydney Boys, North Sydney Girls, Baulkham Hills, Sydney Girls, Sydney Boys, and Normanhurst. Plenty of our students are hitting 4 out of 5 and 5 out of 5 Superior scores for EduTest and top bands in HAST. You can check out the success board on our site to see their results.

Hi guys, just asking is it possible for a person got really good score in Edu test but they are sucks at HAST ?
bc that's exactly what happened to me. I can only get like 80% in math, 74% in abstract reasoning, 60% in reading, and 65% in writing. ( im talking abt the accuracy but not the overall ranking). It's the score that I got in my tutoring for high school transition.
Does any1 know what score or accuracy I need to get for girra year 9 entry? Or how can I improve my writing?

tbh I sat the year 9 girra exam last yr and absolutely bombed it but just for some info, when i went, there were at least 100 other people sitting the exam with me, and also note that some may have applied for girraween but sat the exam at a different school. They only offer spots when a student leaves. Now im aware ruse makes a new class, but most of the transfers come from top 10 schools like nsb and nsg rather than mid tiers like girra. So if i had to guess, the range of spots open will be 1-6 and there are at least 100 other applicants fighting for those tight spots. and i actually don’t know the marks you need to get in but id assume it’s something crazy like top 5% especially because not many people leave girra once they actually get in

Also for the people that made girra, how’s it going? Lowkey kinda nervous to apply for year 10 entry especially considering the fact I absolutely sold the test. And also, what did you guys do to study for the hast? Like in terms of resources and all that im genuinely wondering cause my marks in school have been insane as of rn, literally grinding and i think im on straight As at the moment
