What is each uni good for?

Someone mentioned crappy USYD student ID cards Apprently, you can get good proper plastic ID cards if you pay money at the library. I've seen some people with them at exams and stuff, they look like drivers licenses. And there's talk that they plan to implement some sorta new fangled...

What jobs are available for ppl with Arts degrees?

In my opinion, it is best to combine arts with some other more practical degree. (practical in terms of employable anyway) Employers like arts degrees cos arts people usually have more generic skills like essay writing, analysis, logic thinking kinda things, whereas something like science could...

    Bussiness management?

Commerce at Sydney offers majors in IR/HRM, management and management science, and you can have one major or a double. http://www.econ.usyd.edu.au There's information in the faculty handbook about what units of study are involved in each major. The management and IR/HRM majors are...

    What to take?

I know what you mean, and I feel the same way too... probably because I don't share more than one class with anyone I've met. Has anyone else noticed that there are a lot of international students in e + b? And I think we get John Goodhew next week until the Easter break.

The Quad - USyd vs UNSW

A walk through the buildings at the Sydney Quad is like a step through time, a sandstone building standing amongst the city skyscrapers as an inspiration to students of peserverance. History is reflected as time seeps through the porous rock. A reminder to all students of the traditions...

    GPA's??

GPA sounds like something from one of those colleges in America where all they do is party all night and get drunk and they never seem to study. But that's just TV.

    Syd vs. NSW

I don't know about the law at Sydney, but commerce is really flexible because you don't have to specialise in first year. They set you these core subjects (macroeconomics, microeconomics, accounting, business information systems, statistics) which will probably take up about a year and a half to...

    Recommend me a SDD textbook..

Why can't you take the textbook home? that would really suck the Sam Davis textbook is good... but is also expensive like $40 or so. I think there's a new textbook out by some woman or something don't know how good it is though.

    Major Project

How did you ppl actually go around programming these things? My former crappy teacher only ever taught us visual basic. Our major assignment was to make some kind of booking reservation program or something. Everyone had to do the same thing anyway. Not that it matters. It's all over now.

    Arts Degrees

you have to do an arts major, a science (or commerce) major and a language with liberal studies. liberal studies has a higher uai than arts with liberal studies (international) you have to go to an overseas university for a semester or a year or so.

Which is the best uni for business/commerce/economics?

ug the good university guide rankings are so depressing.... :( i'd list examples but i leant the book to someone nsw allows you to be more specific with your majors while sydney is a more generalised course. in sydney everyone has to do certian subjects (econometrics etc...) therefore...
