    UTS advisory day timetable

This is what I said in the main Advisory Day thread: Apart from general uni talks, there are no specific course talks (as far as I know; there might be some informal ones), but there will be plenty of staff and students on hand to answer your questions. You can talk with them one on one and...

UTS ADVISORY DAY 2006 - so you going?

There are no specific course talks (as far as I know; there might be some informal ones), but there will be plenty of staff and students on hand to answer your questions. You can talk with them one on one and ask any questions you might have. The students can also give you a run down of what the...

    difference between subjects/units/electives?

I'm an owl. I sleep at irregular hours. You'll get used to that once you become a uni student :p

    difference between subjects/units/electives?

A subject and unit is the same thing. Each degree (or course) at uni has many different subjects that you have to complete to get that degree. Each subject is worth a number of credit points (a typical subject is worth 6 credit points). You need a certain number of credit points to get a degree...

    Help plz

I wouldn't worry about the Maths too much. You're General Maths should get you through fine. The IT courses are more practical based, as you'll do a lot of practical exercises in labs for a lot of subjects. Most subjects are taught with a lecture and then a tutorial or lab (or both), so in the...

    Help plz

I've been planning on finishing my overview...someday :p. You won't do much maths in IT. Infact you'll do more maths on the Business side of your degree. It'll mostly be statistics and financial maths, so since you've done general maths, you might have done some of that stuff already. Don't...

    3G Phone Service

Yup, pretty much what MedNez said. I like having the $29 cap. It saves me a lot of money, being able to make up to $120 worth of calls and SMSs. I don't have to pay $50+ like I did on my old plan. I just got a new phone yesterday as well, and it rocks over my old one.

    business/law...my uai was 0.1 below the cut-off

Just put it down as your preference. Chances are it might fall a little. Depends on what the trend is. Most courses fell last year, so maybe that will happen again. You never know.

    B Commerce at Macq??

It's the guy from my school! Anyways, I think Commerce and Business are the same at any uni, so doesn't really matter where you go.

    Worth applying now?

Well if you see anything advertised, then go for it. Most places would have obviously recruited for xmas/new year by now (well you would hope so :p).

I play it all the time. It's my favourite game. SimCiy 4 + Rush Hour + 100 mods = :D. I waste so much time playing that game.
