so you have to go to the lecture for each of the subjects you do (I'm not sure how the prac one works, though!). Then you will either choose or be allocated to one tutorial group (out of all the yellow timeslots on the master timetable). Hope that makes sense :)

yes new students at strathfield will have their timetables released on 31 jan. Uni is not really confusing - it's just because the group timetables have all the tute groups listed. When you get your personalised timetable, it will only show your tute groups :)

We don't get ours until first day back on 20th Feb - because we have a special prac thingo this semester. The timetable is pretty easy to read - it will say lecture/tutorial and the subject. It works in 1 hour slots. If you like, you can attach a copy of yours and we can decipher it for you :D

yep the girl:guy ratio is very high.. in my course i think there's about 8 guys out of about 120 (roughly). meeting people at uni is fun - it is a bit scary at first but it's good ACU because it's such a small campus, you see people you know all the time ;)

I'd say your best bet would be to ask the Student Association. They'd be able to point you in the right direction :) If they don't actually give you the ok, they'd certainly be able to tell you who to speak to...

As far as I know we don't have uni forums. Webct can only be accessed if you are enrolled in a unit that is linked to it. Maybe you need to compare the two and decide which is going to interest you more. I'm sure both would be as viable as the other... however I would try to get it sorted out...

ummm... well you go on the first day and meet your course coordinator and stuff.. it's a good chance to meet a few people from your course too. I'm pretty sure you get your timetable. The rest of the week is mainly for workshops in developing essay writing skills, note taking and studying...
