China plans to dominate Asia and the World

I think this editorial pretty much sums it all up- though I disagree with his final thought that China will never progress. Despite their "pygmy" mentality...China can and will continue to resort to undiplomatic measures to protect their own interests, knowing full well that the smaller...

    Combined medicine question...

There's ANU and UQ provisional schemes which are basically the same thing and much much easier. If that's not alright then just do an undergrad degree and try to transfer via the GAMSAT route.

No estel...with bonded places you still have to pay your HECS...I think you are getting it confused with the 'MRBS' in which case I'd understand why you're calling it a deferred place. With MRBS you have the option of 'chickening out' and paying back the scholarship plus inflation but with the...

Oh and another scholarship you may be interested in is the Military Scholarship. They give you some absurd amount like 14,000 (and on top of that a rental allowance, textbook allowance, medical/dental care) for x years if you work for them x+2 years. The problem is if they need specialists...

the Life of a Med Student

'Bonded' is not deferred, nor is it full fee. What it means is that if you scrape into medicine...you will be be given the option of accepting a place or the place is offered to the next eligible candidate. If you do accept the offer, you will have to work in a rural area for six years...

    med in sydney universities

It's a worrying thing that needs to be stopped. People shouldn't become dermatologists or surgeons on the basis of how much they suck up...but rather their respective merits. I don't know if I can degreade myself due to my pride, but if it's going to determine what I do with the rest of my life...

    med in sydney universities

Let me explain it to you this way...the repective postgraduate colleges don't look so much at your university results as much as your potential demonstrated throughout your clinical years to your supervisors (hence the attitude that it's more who you know rather than what you know that gets you...
