i'd say wait till the first lecture for the subject to find out what textbooks you will need. if its a different lecturer from last year, he/she might have changed the prescribed text and you don't wanna go buying an old textbook if its not the one they are going to be using...

the extro account is mainly used to pay for library fines. the library fines you $1 a day for any overdue books. but you can also use the extro account to pay for stuff at the copy shop. and you deposit money into it whenever you like. and yes you can go thru uni without using your extro...

how sure are you about that melby? if your 100% then it saves me from asking... anyways i was flicking thru the macq handbook and they allow me to do combined degreees from 2 uni's just like doing a combined degree at 1 uni. one degree's electives will count for the other degree's electives...

you can major in accounting and economics in b. ec but i'm not sure if you will get professional accrediation... you would have to check up on that from the e+b faculty. as for what subjects you need to do for a cpa/ca certification, check out this web site...

or if your that eager, you should be receiving a letter from usyd confirming your personal info and your units of study. you can use that to go into your faculty and change your subjects...

yep.. just wait till 14th feb.. you will have around a month to finalise your classes before you hit any hecs penalties, so don't worry too much about your units yet!!

2000 level are second year subjects hence it starting with a 2.... you have to check if that claw class has any pre-req's like any other 1000 level claw classes...

it doesn't matter whether you have the tute or lecture first. the material will be covered anyhow... and lectures are not compulsory and you don't have to turn up if you don't want. as for the textbooks, that really depends on you. if you pay attention in the lectures, then the textbooks...
