99.90 James Ruse Graduate. $20/ week VERY CHEAP TUITION!!

I've known Pablo for 2 years, and I got to say not only is he the most mathematically gifted person I know, but he's also a very humble person who is genuinely passionate about the mathematics that he teaches and ensuring his students' full understanding - this is clearly evident in his low...

    Selective Schools Test 2017?

I did the test last year, there were 6 sections: numerical reasoning, verbal reasoning (these 2 are the most important ones), mathematics, comprehension/reading, creative writing and analytical writing. All these sections are 30 minutes each with the exception of creative writing and...

Year 11 Selective Applications, Have I Messed Up?

tbh from my experience, I would say that top selective schools solely look at your math, science, and english ranks (in that order of importance since math and science is what gets you a high atar at the end of the day). extra curricular and sports is secondary, when I sat my interview for...

but i'd say being able to spend most of your year 11 perfecting your acc hsc subject whilst sabotaging your year 11 prelims is more advantageous cos its not like year 11 prelim matters that much and at the end of the day its your hsc subject that counts anyway. you can worry about your other...

true, but the reason for that is because usually the top year 11 students are selected to accelerate. This means if a school decides to accelerate chem every year, then the top students of each grade would be gone (to accelerate in the grade above) and replaced with the top students of the grade...

    2017ers Preliminary Chit Chat Thread

The thing is there is no point in accelerating subjects such at Chem at ruse because the results won't be much different. However, Ruse does do tons of acc subjects in year 10 and 11 like pdhpe, drama, music, SDD, ag, and that is because those subjects are pretty easy and are guaranteed band 6s...

Oh wow have you tried learning op 10 no 4? pretty sure it's one of the most difficult in terms of technical difficulty out of the op 10 etudes. I do know how to play the op 10 no 5 black keys (from the movie) and op 10 no 2 though, but op 25 no 1 is currently my favourite.
