    Half-Yearly Thoughts

I wouldn't encourage you putting off SOR completely. Just in case you stuff up in any of your other subjects, if you do good in a really easy subject like SOR it might benefit you.

    Did terrible.

As most people have said, it's just Year 11. However, if you're struggling in Year 11, you need to put in a lot more effort if you want to improve in Year 12, because Year 12 will be a lot harder then Year 11.

What does the HSC mean to you?

    * What does the HSC mean to you? Means I have to waste a whole year, and work hard * How much do you want to succeed? Well if I didn't want to succeed, I wouldn't waste my time doing the HSC and getting a pathetic mark. * What does it mean to you if you fail? Get over it mate. If it hurts you...

I can't even see your brother school on the School Rankings listing. I think we're going off topic.

    Half-Yearly Thoughts

Yeah I know what school she's talking about. It's not that bad though, had a cousin go there, can't remember what year she graduated, but she got into law at UTS - so pretty good. Also you ripp your brother school LOL.

    Half-Yearly Thoughts

Ooo... thats cut LOL. That's like at my school last year, our dux was 99.85, but two guys got 99.5 and 99.35, and in any other year both of them would've gotten dux. They both seem pretty interesting to me =]

    Half-Yearly Thoughts

LOL still not sure, because I'm kinda both. I'm obviosuly a maths/science person because I accelerate maths and I do physics BUT i do like religion (I know, pretty weird). But then again i dropped Ext English and 2u SOR so that might suggest I probably won't like Philosophy - so yeah still not...

    Half-Yearly Thoughts

I wanna get into either Philosophy or Cosmology (not sure what to take), and yeah I know you need a Band 6. I'm pretty sure I can get a band 6 for 2u, but 3u, I think i can get it if I really work hard from now to the HSC. But in saying that, two people from my school last year did distinction...

    2008 Preliminary Roll Call

LOL thanks. Everyone in Sydney should go for the swannies! Even if the AFL's planning to shove some n00b team into western Sydney.

    Half-Yearly Thoughts

Yeah but it would be nice not having to do them again - and I wanna get into a distinction course. Gotta study harder for my trials and the HSC exam. Well I thought it was that in the beginning, but you said it was crap, and Burwood Girls ripps my school. If I'm right, your schools ranked...

    Half-Yearly Thoughts

Thanks =] Still if you got 90% and the highest was 96%, I still think that's really good. And if you're school is what I think it is, then the ranking isn't too bad - you beat some of the decent schools in my area, and they still get decent results.

    Mastering English = Possible?

Well I'm guessing the school forces you. That really makes my school seem bad, because they force most people to do the lower alternative - they force most students to do General Maths and Standard English. So thats why we only have ~60 people in Advanced.

    2008 Preliminary Roll Call

I can see we have a really passionate swans fan here =] LOL Swans ftw! Welcome to all the new members of BOS. I've introduced myself earlier on, but yeah a lot of new members and i've been off BoS for a while, so I'll re-introduce myself. Nathan Patrician Brothers' College, Fairfield 09...

    Half-Yearly Thoughts

That is so true. Exam technique is vital. Each subject has some exam techniques which can help maximise your marks, mainly you have to train yourself with practice so you're able to answer the question with that is required (basically don't babble on about irrelevant stuff - you're just wasting...

    Half-Yearly Thoughts

Japanese maybe (but in saying that it's still pretty good) but 90% is pretty good for physics... and I think i can guess what school you go to... but I won't say because that'll be mean =]. We didn't have official half-yearlies for some reason, but we got our reports back really early (most...
