I sat my HSC last year and am currently enrolled in UNSW B of Medical Science. After completing a semester I don't think that this course at UNSW is for me. I was interested in enrolling in USYD next year.
Due to various factors (mostly just not enjoying UNSW at the moment) my GPA is not good...
If I have a slice of liver and I cover it in a Buffer solution of let's say pH 3, and give it around 5 mins to reach equilibrium - will it go to pH 3?
This is for an enzyme test. I know this method works using HCl to get it to pH 2 and NaOH for pH 9 - I'm just not 100% sure if a buffer solution...
If I've already enrolled, ie. chosen all my classes, timetable etc. for UNSW is it possible to still retract my enrollment and somehow get an offer for USYD instead. UNSW Medical Science -> USYD Medical Science
Um is it normal for mine to be this choccas? I also made the mistake of clicking 'enroll' into all these classes - does that mean the times are SET now, can't change em?
Also, if I were to change my preferences, is it still possible to get an offer for USYD Med Sci?
Hi, I didn’t sit the UMAT this year but my goal is to get into Medicine. My ATAR was 96.50. I REALLY need advice on whether it would be better to do UNSW Medical Science, USYD Medical Science or USYD Physiotherapy (Flex-Entry), keeping in mind that the goal is Medicine as quickly as possible to...
Anyone who is planning to attend UNSW? What is it about the uni that appeals to you? This question is particularly aimed at people who are looking to do Science based courses.
Also, if anyone knows anything about the Medical Science degree..

After my first two preferences I'm stuck, I know that UWS has a few places available for transfer into Medicine in both their B of Medical Science (Advanced) and B of Advanced Science, however I feel like if I'm not one of those few who are able to transfer then I'm stuck at a uni I really...
This might sound a bit silly - ah well.
I still don't know what "Distinguished Achievers" "All Rounders" is! I'm guessing All Rounders means you get B6s for everything yeah?
If anyone could "shed some light on the matter" that'd be great :)

Does HCl Hydrolyse in Water or is it only Acidic and Basic Salts that do that?
Is the equation HCl + H20 -> Cl- + H30+
or is this NOT a hydrolysis equation and something different?
A hydrolysis equation is like follows...
NH4+ + H2O ↔ NH3 + H3O+
So Meiosis forms haploid gamete cells - sperm or ova. And this happens in the testes and ovaries respectively. Sperm and Ova combine at Fertilization to produce a diploid fertilized egg which becomes a baby or whatever. What I don't get is if the Sperm and Ova haven't yet combined what do they...
I can work out the Molarity of dilute but how do you get the orginal concentration?
25ml of sulfuric acid from a car battery was accurately diluted to 500ml. 25ml of the diluted solution was titrated with 0.206 mol/L sodium hydroxide. It required 38.8 ml. Calculate the Molarity of the original...
I know there's plenty of threads similar to mine on here but just humor me...
