I'm a newbie this year at UNSW, and I've got one physics lecture on the friday.
Obviously I'm hoping that it has ilecture (its in the Keith Burrows Theatre) but I don't know how to check.
Do all lectures have the iLecture feature? If not, how do you find out which ones do/dont?
cheers
thanks guys! thats helped heaps :)
So why does UNSW push students to do the Fundementals of Physics course if they have no prior knowledge then? I had chosen to do physics1121 but after reading the info booklet of new engineering students, i doubted my decision.
Am I going to find it extremely...
I did 4 unit maths but didn't do physics. My friend did 3 unit maths, no physics and is doing the usyd equivalent of PHYS1121 at usyd. She's finding it fine.
I'm wondering whether doing PHYS1111 puts you at a disadvantage, in terms of timetabling because you're a semester behind? or can you...
sigh.
I'm doing law at the moment but I'm transferring to engineering next year. I'm doing flexible but I was just trying to figure out what the stream is like and what it involves. I'm not claiming to know alot about it, even though I've looked at the subjects of mining engineering, hence...
Looking at the different types of engineering
I can't help but think that mining would be a horribly boring stream. It looks like it involves a lot of geology and the last time I studied geology, it involved looking at sediments. :mad1:
So for anyone whose doing mining engineering or knows...
Yeh i mean, if law tutorials are on then it wouldn't make any sense to go before your lecture. but my lecture isn't till the arvo and my tutorial is in the morning. I don't particularily get up early and wait round all day when I don't have too. If anyone knows or emails them then let us know!
I got all excited cus I thought the line between hornsby and macquarie uni stations would be set up in february, hence making my trip about 25min long. but it's not until the end of the year, meaning in cityrail language, sometime in 2015 :(
and with that, I've noticed that you don't have to pay for both semesters but only the first. So if I pay 80% of the first semester fees, does the government still see it was paying 80% or do I need to pay for both semesters?
So I've looked at the macquarie website and I can't seem to find a course planner or a course program. Like in UNSW it has what law subjects you have to take and what electives you'd take (as in arts major or law elective) and when.
I'm finding it really confusing trying to figure out how many...
Re: 2009 Macquarie Uni Offers
Just got my late round offer of Arts/Law at Macquarie. So relieved that my change in mind between the main and late wasn't going to screw me over!
yeh ok cool. yes i am quite worried about accomodation and I won't know until February 4th whether I'm going so i'm praying very, very hard.
if anyone knows anyone who needs to rent out a room...
another question actually.
How hard is it to find appropiate off campus accomodation? I've only got two weeks to find accomadation after the late round and I really don't want to end up in some seedy or broken down flat with leaks lol
People say that living on campus is such a great way to meet friends and community and all that. I just don't want to miss out. Or make it heaps harder to make friends
does it really matter that much if you live on campus for your first year? If I get a late round offer I'll have to live off campus. I could defer the offer for a year and then apply for the undergraduate accomodation last year if it makes that much of a difference...
From the site it looks like the enrolment days aren't until after the main round offers. So how do they fill the vacancies in each course, and how does the late round offers work if they are based on the vacancies that arise from enrolment day??
