Can someone advise me on how ING works.. e.g how do I set an account up (all I have is a Debit (Savings) account with the ANZ bank).. how I transfer money into the account.. how I can get money out.. how often they pay you interest... any fees and charges etc. :)
go to their website: www.ingdirect.com.au
get their information pack sent to you
fill out some forms (about your existing account etc)
attatch the most recent bank statement from your existing bank account
send it in and you should receive a conformation letter in about 4-6 days with all your online account details (account number/password)...

all transactions are made online..coz there are no branches, but it's very easy to transfer money in and out..interest is 5.40%p.a compounded daily...then added to your account every month

yeah. ING is great!..no bank fees whatsoever!

EDIT: oh damn!!!..beat me to it

well, i have about $200 in one account,
$150 in the account linked to my key card,
$500 limit on my credit card (never used)
and about $200 in cash around the place in my wallet, room etc

there was a time before my credit card joined the system that i had almost 4grad, but then i went overseas n spent it all n had to pay my parents back for the extra money i spent...and i went in jan so it will take a while to build it up again with all the uni expenses n going out more than i used to...
