That, I do
...in it for games more i suppose and that occasional mp3 download, if so then Cable will be good for you but if you're a bit of both and a average gamer, then go straight away for ADSL
Very true.
Cable
* Uncapped
* 10GB per month
* Uploads included in your quota
* Reasonable quota
* Shaped to 64kbps
* Very low pings
ADSL
* Capped to whatever plan you're on, 256/64, 512/128 or 1500/512
* 20GB per month, or
unlimited with other ADSL providers
* Uploads are
not included in your quota
* Quota is more than generous, considering most are unlimited (via Telstra or Comindico) or offering on average 500MB to 1GB per day, if not more depending on your habits.
* Shaped to 72kbps after you reach your quota, with iiNet. Other ISPs have other shaping/priority schemes such as Internode (talk to Ragerunner for this one
).
* I'm not a gamer, but I would imagine the pings would be the same.
If you're happy with where you are, stay.
The only benefits to Telstra right now are the above, the cost is virtually the same, although Telstra is a little bit more cheaper now (if the prices are true).
