you remembered correctly, collectivisation technically started in 1928 due to the grain production crisis which would be under the Stalin's time as leader.

Just off the top of my head this is what i'd frame my paragraphs around:

- Propaganda and censorship.
- The belief in eliminating all opposition.
- Repression and terror through purges and show trials.

These transformed Russia by creating a climate of fear and a system of loyalty that allowed Stalin to consolidate absolute power, standing alone in the Politburo by 1929.

what about economic (collectivisation + industrialisation) cause it also transformed soviet society and was influenced by Marxist-Leninism (col) and SIOC (indust.)
