uhh no??u need statistics for a discursive right? so like do u just make them up if the topic doesn't work w ur pre planned one?
my teacher said refer to q in the topic sentence and then in the analysis for every quote and in concluding sentence, for each para. otherwise, you run the risk of just topping and tailing and hsc markers hate this apparentlyalso for adapting essays, how many times do u guys recommend referring to the q per paragraph? like at the end of every evidence cluster or like every few?
thats just what my tecaher said but from the overall reaction im thinking she might be wrongwait what, this is news to me.
do we actually need statistics?
A good discursive gives the reader food for thought, and many people like to do that through logos - further, statistics are helpful in the edge case of persuasives. But statistics are just another form of evidence, and as long as you have any sort of supporting evidence, be it statistics or anecdotes or intertextual allusions - and a variety of these - and they support your point, then it is a good discursive. Statistics are one of those easier pieces of evidence to find which may be why your teacher advised it, as for Mod C many people look for a formula through which to make a good piece.thats just what my tecaher said but from the overall reaction im thinking she might be wrong
i think by statistics she means like references to the wider worldu need statistics for a discursive right? so like do u just make them up if the topic doesn't work w ur pre planned one?
yes! sorry i dont think i worded it very well. this is what i meant loli think by statistics she means like references to the wider world
for example in my discursive i mention a tiktok video i saw related to my topic and i also mention a psychologist thats spoken abt the issue i raised, its sort of to make it look like ur connecting ur discursive to the wider world, not necessarily like finding out 39% of people smoke every year
Gang whatu need statistics for a discursive right? so like do u just make them up if the topic doesn't work w ur pre planned one?
Huh is this eco. But honestly just make up one that seems believevale cause they won’t search it up. At least for business studies, my teacher who’s a hsc marker says that they aren’t allowed to search up if ur case studies are correct so u can make up stuff. So maybe it’s the same for Engu need statistics for a discursive right? so like do u just make them up if the topic doesn't work w ur pre planned one?
dont memorise statistics, its a full waste of time. make them up on the spot, just be realisticu need statistics for a discursive right? so like do u just make them up if the topic doesn't work w ur pre planned one?
