Not the same subject but i remember term 2 of Y12, i failed my internal exam so bad for business studies. I had a massive breakdown that time and considered dropping but my mum wouldnt let me and she made me wait a bit longer to think abt it. Now that internals r over, i finished 3rd in my cohort which honestly had me so happy bc i thought i failed that subject. My point is, one internal is not an end all and after the standard maths exam this year, i think it rlly shows that standard is not necessarily all that much easier. It just requires a different skillset. I think whatever u end up doing, just make sure its what u want and not bc someones forcing u into it. Gll!! U got this ♥
yeah but I also failed task 2 math with a 45% so it's not just one exam. u know what I'm gonna try the 2025 standard math paper despite not knowing how to do half the topics just for fun lol cause I don't wanna do my math homework which is stupid exponential equations which I can't do. edit: I'm just realised it's. 3 hr paper so I'm not bothered lol. But if u guys wanna tell me the hard questions I"ll try attempting them

but to be fair the adv paper was also super hard so either way if they gave me a cooked exam for adv and std, std would still be better cause I would just fail adv completely

but i wonder how didnt the kids pick up on it early on?? wouldnt u research and be like oh theres no augustus in the syllabus
Idk either but i do know is that their ed department only changed the topic from augustus to Caesar this year and that they email schools a year early to notify the topic (idk how that works do they not have a syllabus???)

It sounds like deep down you want to drop. I would say don't wait too long cause you'll still need time to catch up on prelim topics. If you drop now, you can catch up in the summer holidays as well.

Surely the invigilator would check if you completed all your details before letting you leave.

hmm yeah. maybe I just refuse to acknowledge it. Cause idk maybe the only reason why I wanna keep it is cause of scaling, prestige and parental pressures

The invigilator legit didn't allow ppl to write their NESA number on q booklet after time ended
Our invigilators specifically told us not to waste exam time and they come stand next to us one by one at the end so we can write out numbers and fill in the numbers for extra booklets and stuff.
