understand what each mod is about really, understand the purpose of the author's texts and create a mother of all essays scaffold. You have to be prepared with what you want to talk about. I don't know whether u do advanced or standard but for eg in Module A we did Henry Lawson stories, and the overall purpose of his stories is to create a separate identity for Australian bushpeople from brit culture and disrupt the romanticisation of the outback n that. I basically needed to understand the overall message of each story, for e.g. in one of the stories it is about women being independent and resilient, while in another one it is the importance of alcohol in forming mateships. Finally, I picked one common theme across all stories, which was the desensitisation to death in the australian bush. Keep reconnecting all your analysis to the author's purpose, and repeat the language from the question- that shows that you're clearly answering what the question is asking you. Also memorise quotes from all your prescribed texts to minimise your risk of flunking one of your essays. The eng faculty can give you a specific extract from one of your prescribed texts and can ask you to analyse that specific story. Lastly, time management. Paper 1 is 90 minutes, and give yourself a maximum time of 45 minutes for both parts. If you're a fast writer, maybe you could offer yourself a leeway. But for paper 2, i strongly recommend to give urself no more than 40 minutes for each essay. If you're unable to finish it, skip it. Don't get stuck on writing one essay and sacking the others.
i made essays but my teacher never fkn marks them

I pulled an all nighter and ended up not sleeping for 36 hours, and soooo much stress towards the end but at least its over! The only thing I feel like I couldve spent more time on is the reflection ngl 🥀
But literally im the exact same for art coming up, theres so much i still have it do 😭 i can smell the sunday night all nighter already…
I will never understand why anyone would waste their time on such a pointless subject like English Ext 2. Unlike 3u and 4u maths that are actually applicable for Uni courses, etc, you gain nothing from doing EE2 besides probably a sense of personal accomplishment and a keener eye in English as a whole.

There is no course that counts to your ATAR which is ‘not applicable for Uni’. It’s about what subjects are personally fulfilling and aligned to you, so don’t say that you gain nothing when you’ve never even done the subject
